Week 38 2011 Pt. 2

Wonder Woman #1

The Visitation

I am so freaking happy!!!  If you are a fan of the old Wonder Woman you are going to be so freaking happy to!  Not only had her attitude greatly improved and more akin to the original Wonder Woman, she’s got something more similar to her old costume back!  Woohoo!!  Okay, so to get back on track, Wonder Woman is Wonder Woman and her costume, although not the original is still akin to it and I think it’s really cool.  I like the silver, black and red.  Loved it Smile!!!  Thank you B. Azzarello!!  You have returned to us our Wonder Woman!

Star Wars: Jedi #5

The Dark Side Part 5 (of 5)

Wicked good ending here!  Well semi-ending anyway.  Poor Qui-Gon, his pupil feel into darkness.  Well, these Jedi can’t catch a break now can they.  Such is their fate I guess.  Anyway, I really enjoyed this story line, it has it’s own take on the story line of a Jedi falling into darkness.  Anyway, here you have a student fall into darkness, and he gets swept away by his people because get this, he’s a prince!  Qui-Gon also lies to the Council and says he’s dead when he is so not dead.  This story line is far from over.  Thankfully it will be returning in the Spring of 2012.  I can’t wait to see what happens next.  I need to say though that I hope they get a different artist.  I mean I like Asrar, don’t get me wrong, the way he textures his artwork makes everything more nostalgic, I just think that, especially when it comes to action, the drawing should be sharper and more clear to follow.  Still I loved this comic.

Star Wars: Knight Errant #2[1]

Deluge Part 2 (of 5)

They changed the artist!  Woohoo!  Now, I liked the previous artwork, it fit the character of Kerra more because she was in a dark place and the artwork really represented that.  Here though, she’s in a happy place and a think that the artwork should represent that.  It finally does.  The inking is much brighter and the drawing more sharp.  I think it’s great.  Much more akin to the bright character that Kerra has developed into.  Anyway, I also love the writing and the story line. There has been so much growth in the character and when it comes to characters, for me personally, growth is a very important thing to me.  Also, with her character growth comes more action and more amusing happenstances.  I personally and loving this ark way more than the previous ark.
