Fox Animation Snatches Up The Hero’s Guide To Saving Your Kingdom

By: Sean O’Connell  Fox Animation grabbed the rights to Christopher Healy’s children’s book The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, with the intention of turning it into an animated adventure for the whole family, THR reports. Chernin Entertainment, which put its weight behind Rise of the Planet of the Apes for Fox, is on board to produce. Unfamiliar with Hero’s Guide? Yeah, so was I, but that’s basically because the book didn’t hit shelves until May 1, but it has so many []

Tom Cruise To Star In Van Helsing Reboot, Roberto Orci And Alex Kurtzman To Produce

By: Eric Eisenberg Van Helsing, the 2004 action film starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, is a truly terrible movie. In addition to being remarkably stupid, the performances in the movie are terrible and the effects were godawful. It was clear that the studio wanted to make a franchise out of the monster-killing hero, but obviously that never took off. Now they’re hoping to have better luck with a brand new star and a pair of hot producers. THR has gotten word []

Elijah Wood Set To Play For Action-Thriller Grand Piano

By: Kristy Puchko Sometimes while commuting or doing the dishes, I amuse myself by imagining what would happen if two movies I love for very different reasons were mashed together. For example: Dirty Dancing meets Night of the Living Dead, where the blue-collared dancers and their snooty clients must put their differences aside to ward of zombies, and Patrick Swayze would belt out the line, “Nobody eats Baby in the corner!” These daydream monstrosities are wonderfully terrible from my imagined movie posters—in []

God of War: Ascension gets multiplayer

So I am not a big God of War player, but I’ve watched many of my friends play and I have to say, I really want to play. Sony has confirmed when the prequel game to the series comes out on the PS3 next year, it will do so with a new multiplayer mode.  Sony has not fully revealed the full extend of the multiplayer mode yet, but it has revealed one game type called “Team Execution Mode”.  This mode will feature []

Bayonetta 2 shelved – Report

There was never any true confirmation as to if this Bayonetta would achieve a sequel, but now the outlook looks dismal. Some speculate that Bayonetta 2 might have been one of the unnamed games that Sega was planning.  That project was scrapped in response to their company-wide restructuring.  The restructuring is due to “rapid change” in the game market which has cost the company some money.  With the changes however, and market conditions, Sega is predicting severe losses Bayonetta will get a []

GD&TOP and other K-Pop Groups mentioned in LA Times [NEWS]

(omitted unrelated parts) Poised at the intersection of two countries’ fast-moving pop cultures and cutting-edge media technology, the sprawling genre colloquially known as K-pop has operated outside the American pop limelight. But that’s changing. A-list producers like, Diplo and Kanye West are lining up to work with South Korean artists like 2NE1, GD&TOP and JYJ. (omitted unrelated parts) The overwhelmingly single-gender bands, cast by talent agencies for Korean corporate label conglomerates like SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment, created fierce and ever-evolving []

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games Trilogy: Book 3)

Greta book.  I mean it was intense and the flow was was extraordinary.  I simply loved it I could not wait to see what was going to happen next.  It was full of a lot of action and suspense and the growth of Katniss was extraordinary from the first book.  I just loved it a lot.  I also, no offense to any Gale fans out there, I do love Gale and no I don’t blame him for well, I don’t want to []
