NASA’s infrared Spitzer Space Telescope spotted light from the alien planet 55 Cancri e, which orbits a star 41 light-years from Earth. A day on the extrasolar planet lasts just 18 []

By: Jesse Carp Sean Bean is a wonderful actor and even though he’s tough enough in real life to shake off a stabbing and have another pint, his characters seem to have a tough time making it out of the given project alive. In fact, it’s hard to think of a major film or television series in which Bean didn’t suffer some untimely end a la (SPOILERS)GoldenEye‘s 006, Lord of the Rings‘ Boromir, or, even more recently, Missing‘s Paul Winstone. Obviously, this []

Iron Man 3 May Replace Jessica Chastain With Rebecca Hall

By: Eric Eisenberg I was really bummed yesterday when it was revealed that Jessica Chastain would not be starring in Iron Man 3. I had this great vision of her character, Maya, and Pepper Potts (as played by Gwyneth Paltrow) squaring off against each other while also mirroring the other’s looks with their shared bright orange hair (in the “Extremis” arc that the movie is based on, Maya is a former flame of Tony’s). Sadly that’s not meant to be, but even []

Kick-Ass 2 May Actually Happen

By: Eric Eisenberg While some of us may know that Marvel/Disney owns The Avengers and Fox owns the X-Men and Sony owns Spider-Man, the truth is that the general public doesn’t really know the difference between most superhero movies. The Marvel Cinematic Universe may be special, but the truth is that the average Joe on the street probably doesn’t know that Spider-Man cannot legally be in the same movie as Iron Man. As a result, however, the incredible success of The Avengers []

Tuesday Night TV (8 May 2012)

Okay episode.  I mean it didn’t wow me.  Basically you had the same Quinn, who cares mainly about herself, manipulating the sympathy vote so that she can get prom queen.  For the love of god, this episode was filler, you had nothing here, nothing going on.  Good music, but lacking story line.  It had no depth I mean, it was fun but  honestly, do the writers even know what they are doing here?  Nothing was touched upon in this episode.  Acting was []

Portal 2 sells 4 million – Report

David Sawyer of Valve reported to NeoGamr that Portal 2 has sold 4 million copies since its release in April.  That puts the game on par with its predecessor, Portal, which sold nearly 4 million copies, not including Steam units. However, Valve has declined to comment on whether or not the sales account if for all the platforms it was released on.  Would that be a bubble buster? In other news regarding Portal 2, released today is the Perpetual Testing Initiative.  This []
