Bright New Yesterday/Tomorrow
Great issue. I loved that this issue circled around all three of the robins. Of course there was no Damien, but I’ll get to them in a bit. There was a lot of story and character development. Granted most of it we already knew, but over all it was nice to read it again. I mean seeing Timothy Drake be a little punk was hilarious. I mean he was such a clever little guy who knew exactly how to deal with guys who are total jerks. And then there was Jason Todd and ohmigod, I didn’t know that much about him. It was such a sweet and sad story but it did give him a lot of depth and explained a lot about him. A really great issue. I can’t say that the art work was 100% amazing, but over all, it was good.

Tomorrow Never Comes
Now this is where we get to learn the origin of Damien Wayne. Talia Al Ghul was such a horrid mother. Granted she is the daughter of Raz and this isn’t new. I mean, for the most part I loved it, it was great. I mean it was really amazing. I loved it. We got to see Damien’s evolution and ohmygod, he was such an adorable baby. I mean that, utterly and completely adorable. I loved that. Oh and the beat down that he gave his mother was simply amazing. Oh the cleverness of Damien. And the ending, the way that they met, now that was a meeting. To know that as a duo they have come this far in their relationship and are so close to really being a father and son it pretty amazing. Batman and Robin is a grade A comic. Read it.

So now we get to know more are the naming of “Kon”. I think it’s actually very clever, and better than before the reboot. I mean now there is an actual meaning behind his name, now it doesn’t seem so random and out of nowhere. I have to say I really like it a lot. Here we got to learn more about his origin, but also of Kryptonian history which is even better. Once again though, not a fan of the artwork. And here I though they had moved on from this. But oh well. Story was cool, and the writing was pretty decent over all. Good comic.

I like how it was Terra and Gar centric. I mean now we know so much more about them. We know more about why Gar is, for the most part red, and of Terra and her attitude. Granted we did get to see some of the other characters like lightning and thunder. It has impacted the story so much because now we get to see how much they have changed, how damaged they have become by living in the culling. How broken they are. It’s a really heartbreaking story if you think about it, but powerful with very good writing. Now I only hope that the writing continues on into the comics because, if you ask me, this issues was better than the rest as a whole.
