Weeks 39 & 40 Pt. 2

TT_Cv0_dsTeen Titans #0

Red Robin

I know I say this a lot, but I love Tim Drake.  This story has given him a lot of depth to his character and a strong bond to to Batman.  I mean that was just amazing.  The story development and how it flowed could have been a little more structured, I mean it felt a little jumpy but over all it was a great comic and I loved it.  This Teen Titans is way better than how the previous ended.  It’s amazing, artwork and writing, all well done.

And again, the writing slowed…again.  I mean I love Manapul as a writer, he’s a great writer but he tends to have the same problem I have and that’s trying to make clear concise story but struggling not to be slow, so I don’t fault him mainly because I understand but a word of warning, despite that I personally love how he is writing the comic.  There is a lot of characterization and development that propels the story forward, and his artwork is simply amazing.  I personally love this comic.

Welcome to the Grey

Very well done comic.  I love the development of this story the over all creation of it.  I mean I have no complaints about it over all.  This is a great comic, seriously read it.  The ending here was a bit lame as far as dialogue goes, but only for those last few pages.  Before that, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl are awesome, really loving how different each of the heroes is not just from each other but from before the reboot.  Over all a really good comic though.  Ending of this issue was a bit lame though.

Actions and Reactions

He’s Muslim, I love that.  Seriously I love that because there is a lot of misplaced hate in the world and this, this is just brilliant.  The direction this plot is moving, the concept is interesting but I do think that it needs a little more structure, it seems very all over the place.  I don’t know, I just think it needs to be structured a little more.  Other than that though, I like it.

Death Sentence Part 3 (of 4)

Very interesting.  Not the greatest comic in the world but it’s decent.  The artwork is good.  I mean it’s good, but it’s not the greatest.  The story itself is kind of bland for the most part and the twist at the end was so predictable and obvious, I can’t actually call it a twist.  It’s Darth Maul, he’s a very predictable character, very dense, and predictable.  I was never much of a fan of him.  Concept interesting but over all, not the best in the world only because there isn’t much to do with the Darth Maul character.
