Capcom told fans of Dragon’s Dogma that an expansion will release and extend your pawns adventure. Now we know that the expansion will be releasing April 23th in North America and April 26th in Europe for download or retail. This will feature a brand new area to explore, missions, enemies, and more.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will allow you to import your existing characters and save data over from Dragon’s Dogma. The game takes place on Bitterblack Isle, an area which will feature 25 new enemies. Also being added to the game are new weapon and armour sets, amounting to over 100 pieces of new equipment.

Character-wise, Dark Arisen will give each character class a new tier of skills. Additionally, you’ll also get new character customization options and 14 new character/Pawn augments. Finally, you’ll have the ability to play the game with Japanese voice-overs.

If you own the original Dragon’s Dogma, you’ll get bonuses for Dark Arisen. 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack, which contains six new costumes, will be available to owners of the original game for free when they pick up Dark Arisen.

Dragon’s Dogma has proven to be considered a franchise by Capcom as of last year. Will this new expansion draw you over to play Dragon’s Dogma again or for the first time? Let us know in the comments below.
