Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles: Book 1)

An absolutely amazing novel. The concept of witches has been done again and again since the days of Charmed and has progressed to so many realms. But what this novel does is reinterpret the not just the story, but also the mythology of the witches themselves. Even, the name Casters is a new take on the story and supernatural aspect of the story. The internal battle itself, between light and dark, is a cliché concept that has been redeemed. There is nothing []

Beautiful Creatures

Definitely better than Twilight as far as story and acting are concerned, but adaption wise, there was room for improvement.  Having read the book I understood the melodramatic moment and forgave them due to the ending, considering the acting was really good.  Jeremy Irons and Emma Thompson, enough said in that respect.  However, there were quite a number of changes.  Characters in the book were cut from the film and some character adaptations were not the way they should have been.  I’m not []

Once Upon a Time©

Once upon a time There was a girl Who tried to soar But you wings were too heavy And weighed her down And every time she lifted them A tear would fall A hit the ground she was rooted on Once upon a time There was a girl Who tried to skip across a lake But every time she place her A top the clear blue water Her foot would sink And the mud would cover her Once upon a time There []

The Wachowskis’ Cloud Atlas Follow-Up Jupiter Ascending Secures Extra Financing

By:  Katey Rich Though it managed to eventually make an impressive $107 million worldwide, Cloud Atlas was a sad entry in the box office of 2012, an expensive and beautiful passion project that divided critics and was roundly rejected by American audiences. Even the poor movie’s Blu-ray release has been pushed back all the way to May, and fans of the film will be gritting their teeth at Sunday’s Oscars watching films with less beautiful scores and cinematography take home prizes. But despite the financial []

Taylor Kitsch Targets A Killer In Horror Thriller Exit 147

By:  Sean O’Connell Because of movies like Battleship, John Carter and The Savages, I will shudder at the sight of Taylor Kitsch’s name for at least the next five years. Granted, I didn’t watch Friday Night Lights, so I’ve never experienced the power of the Kitsch bandwagon. All I’ve seen are his feature-length films, and they’ve been abysmal, so I’m cautious about Exit 147 right off the bat. The horror site Bloody Disgusting reports that Kitsch has signed on as the lead for Exit 147, which Julian Jarrold will direct. Kitsch will play []

Final Fantasy X HD Shown Off On Vita

By: Spencer Pressly   (@torchwood4sp) The final bit of big news to come out of the PlayStation Vita focused live stream this morning was Final Fantasy X HD being shown on Vita for the first time. This is not what most fans were expecting and just showed off a few character models such as Tidus and Yuna. No gameplay was shown, but Square Enix wanted to show us all that the game was still in development. This rather disappointing showing has gotten quite a few []

Abrams tells MTV in this informative and spoiler-ish interview, which you can see right here. We’ll analyze what Abrams said after you’ve seen the clip: Savvy Star Trek fans knew that Klingon scenes were filmed for the initialTrek reboot, and can be viewed in the deleted scenes on the Abrams DVD. But now we’re getting a full introduction to the warrior []
