Throne of Atlantis: Chapter 4
I have to admit that I was a bit bothered by the fact that Cyborg called in all the other people, but the moment I saw them in action in this issue I was okay with it. Hawkman and Firestorm were my favorite parts. Ronnie, ever since Blackest Night has been my favorite part of Firestorm. I think that’s what I liked most about this issue, the illusions to the Super Friends of old. G. Johns really is amazing. And the connection to The Trench story line was great, made the plot move along really well. It presented a great turn of events and revealed an ending I did not see coming. I mean Vulko being the one behind this whole mess was so unexpected! This really was a great issue and I love Aquaman. No one can say he’s lame now.

Cain and Lilith! Man, that was awesome. Poor Cain though, no one wanted to hear his story. That was hilarious. So here you have the origin of not only all vampires but also of the Van Helsing’s. The Van Helsing’s were first worshipers of the Vampire’s. That little piece of the story was unexpected but sure does explain a lot.
What I especially like is how Andrew Bennett and Mary have completely changed personalities. It’s astonishing how much they reflect the other in such different ways now that the roles are reversed.

Gorilla Warfare Pt. 4: Love & Sacrifice
I love the Flash, and I can honestly say this issue was not slow! In fact it was really fast paced. The opening sequence of Iris and Barry out on “date” was good because it showed that they are not supposed to be together, especially followed by Barry and Patty being together, professing their love for one another. Now that was amazing. I loved it. Also the dialogue was amazing.
“What?! Just cause I’m Asian I’m supposed to know about this stuff?” Honestly, that was the best line in the comic! Second best moment.
And as always, F. Manapul does amazing artwork.

The Death of Magic Pt. 2: Night of the Hunter
Deadman! No! Seriously, he literally just got his life back and then lost it, again. Man, he just can’t catch a break. I can only hope that Kyle will give him his life back. Anyway, I mean I like the fact that they are in this weird place that has totally messed and warped their powers but the whole Harry Potter similarities are just too much to take. I can’t take the comic seriously. Also, poor Xanadu! She is just an amazing character and I personally need her to be okay. I mean she’s Madame Xanadu, she’s amazing and awesome. Best part though is the fact that Constantine can’t lie or be sarcastic. Hilarious! Love this comic over all.
