Tuesday Night TV (5 Feb 2013)

Hart of DixieI love this show.  The tension of it was very built up.  The fact that everyone loves Shelby and that Lemons plan totally backfired which I was glad for.  That brings me to Lemon (Jaime King) she is not a good person, at all.  She tries to be, but only on face value, making her unbearable to watch.  Also, she needs to eat something, and this is coming from a girl who weighs 102lbs.  Too much info, I know.  It just bothers me that that this network, which gears to the young adult, are featuring an actress whose bones protrude from her back.  Again, my personal opinion, I don’t know her situation, it just looks like she needs to eat something.

But returning to her character, she does not deserve Lavon (Cress Williams), he is a good person who deserves someone like Annabeth (Kaitlyn Black) who is the sweetest person around.  Both of them deserve to be happy and the fact that their lives seem to have to revolve around Lemon’s whims is unfair.  Granted, it builds a lot of tension in the show and raises the stakes of the plot, but I don’t like it.  Now, Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Zoe (Rachel Bilson) are still adorable and I love how their relationship is developing and progressing.  Also, that dog, he’s adorable.  Tuesdays @ 8PM EST on CW.

New GirlI love this show.  I could not stop laughing.  I mean I literally could not stop laughing.  The fact that Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) kissed was adorable and I loved it!  And the way they dealt with it was just hilarious.  They both sought to avoid one another and then were inevitably brought together was equally great.  I mean I really love this show.  And the whole dating scenario allowed for both of their characters to grow as separate individuals but also as closer friends and eventual couples.  It was great.

And then with Cece (Hannah Simone).  This season her character really has developed, especially in this last episode with her thought process and realization of her life decision.  Schmidt however, he had a moment of true sincerity, but other than that, he’s still a very two-dimensional character for the most part.  Still, could not stop laughing, Nick and Jess are great!  Tuesdays @ 9PM EST on FOX.

SmashThe music in this show is by far, simply amazing.  I love the covers they do and the original music composed here.  Honestly, ten times better than Glee.  I watch glee, don’t get me wrong, but I am starting to get sick of it.  But I digress; this show has everything, great numbers and great performances.  I love everything about it.  The storyline and the turn of events, taking this show from it’s lime light was a great direction.  We get to see the struggles and what it might be behind the scenes of an actual Broadway performance.  Really, this is a great show. The tension and the stakes are great and the style of the show, how the plot progresses and the acting, it’s just great.  I love.  Trust me, if you love Glee, you will love this show.  Tuesdays (Feb 19th) @ 9PM EST on NBC.
