Bryan Singer Reveals Professor X’s Wheelchairs In X-Men: Days Of Future Past

By:  Eric Eisenberg

Bryan Singer has revealed quite a lot about the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past through his Twitter page. As the film has moved through pre-production the director has regularly updated fans about the progress of the new superhero film, and has even used the social networking platform to make big casting announcements. It was thanks to his feed that we learned that Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page and Peter Dinklage would all be part of the cast. But today the filmmaker has used the site to reveal something special.

Posting the message, “Hello old friends #XMen #DaysofFuturePast,” Singer has used Twitter to reveal the two Professor X wheelchairs that will be used in the 2014 sequel. Looking at stills from the previous movies you can tell that the one on the left will be the one used by Stewart, while the one on the right will be James McAvoy‘s spot. Check out the image below!

Obviously this doesn’t really tell us anything about X-Men: Days of Future Past in terms of story, but it’s a cool treat for fans to get a detailed look at Professor X’s main mode of transport. Am I the only one who thinks that Stewart’s chair looks infinitely more comfortable than McAvoy’s?

The movie is also set to star Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult and will be starting production soon to get ready for the July 18, 2014 release date.
