G. I. Joe: Retaliation

Definitely way better than the first one.  This one was fun and catchy with a good and functioning amount of action.  The toys in this movie were more products for the movie and were realistic in terms of military capabilities whereas the first one was way too outlandish and I liked it, but it was unrealistic and didn’t fit with the movie.  This one was more about the G.I. Joe versus the selling of toys (which ironically would sell toys). This movie []

G.I. Joe And Transformers Crossover? The Producer Tells Us How It Could Happen

By:  Eric Eisenberg Part of the joy of playing with toys and action figures as a kid was having characters cross pop culture universes. X-Wing pilot Luke Skywalker fit surprisingly well in the model Batmobile I had growing up, and Spider-Man regularly teamed up with the Power Rangers to take down evil. It was a blast to stretch the boundaries of imagination beyond copyright laws and branding and figure out how two very different characters from two very different worlds would interact. So []

James Spader Joins Meryl Streep And Hilary Swank In Tommy Lee Jones’ The Homesman

By:  Eric Eisenberg Daniel Day-Lewis was unquestionably brilliant in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln (and has the Academy Award to prove it), but James Spader and Tommy Lee Jones certainly did everything in their power to steal the spotlight from him in the movie. The two veteran actors brought some much-welcomed comedic relief to the largely-serious, political drama about a crucial time in our nation’s history, and truly brought to life two key, real individuals who helped the 13th Amendment get ratified and America past the Civil War. As []

Harry Potter’s Richard Griffiths Dies At 65

By:  Katey Rich Richard Griffiths, famous to audiences around the world as Harry Potter’s ghastly Uncle Vernon Dursley, has died at the age of 65. His part in the Harry Potter franchise, like it was for so many great British actors, was just a capstone on a long and hugely varied career, including a stint opposite Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, in Equus onstage. Radcliffe paid tribute to Griffiths in a statement to The Guardian: “In August 2000, before official production had even begun on Potter, we filmed []

Thursday Night TV (28 Mar 2013)

Honestly, no difference between Katherine and Elena.  I do however love how Elijah just up and kissed Elena thinking it was Katherine.  I missed his character, out of all the originals he was always the best.  I think that the Klaus and Caroline things just needs to be settled already.  I mean really, all that angst between them just needs to be settled and they just need to hook up already.  I’m starting to get really tired of this show.  It used []
