How Even Steven Soderbergh And David Fincher Failed To Get A Dream Project Made

By:  Katey Rich After a hugely heralded premiere at Sundance in January, Shane Carruth‘s Upstream Color is finally making its way toward theaters on April 5– and with it, a man who’s been shrouded in mystery for almost a decade is making his way back toward the light. Carruth’s no recluse or even Malick-style introvert, participating in post-screening Q&As and a handful of interviews to promote Upstream, but the cult that’s grown around him since the 2004 premiere of Primer kind of makes him feel that way. Coming out of []

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster announcement trailer

By:  Erren Van Duine The official announcement trailer for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD has leaked out ahead of its original release date. This trailer was set for a release date tomorrow morning, but somehow a version with German text (and English voice overs) has leaked out in advance. The video itself is brief – suited to that of a teaser or announcement trailer to be sure. The few glimpses at the remastered FFX look stunning, and do well to provide a sneak peak []

Stoker Scribe Wentworth Miller To Adapt Richard Parker’s Scare Me

By:  Eric Eisenberg Wentworth Miller is primarily known for his work as an actor, namely for his role on the Fox series Prison Break, but this year he has started to show his versatility – specifically as a writer. The Sundance Film Festival in January premiered his first ever produced screenplay, Stoker, which earned a great deal of acclaim, and now it seems he’s parlayed that success into another screenwriting gig. Deadline has learned that Miller has been set to adapt the thriller Scare Me, based on the []

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX PAX East trailer

By: Erren Van Duine While Japanese fans have been enjoying their copies of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX for a couple weeks now, those of us across the pond will have to wait a bit longer for our first taste of the series on PS3. To help make the wait a bit more bearable, Square Enix has released an updated trailer for the game – for the first time in English. If you followed the Japanese media, you may recognize this as the []

New Jane Got A Gun Details Reveal Lynne Ramsay’s Side Of The Story

By:  Katey Rich At any point this week when things seemed a little too overwhelming or frustrating, we’ve been able to honestly say “Well, it could be worse. We could be working on Jane Got A Gun.” The Western that looked so promising just a week ago has become a swirling mess of rumor and chaos, after director Lynne Ramsay failed to show up to set on Monday, spurring Warriordirector Gavin O’Connor to step in and replace her and Jude Law to back out as well. While very little has []

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster: PS2 vs. PS3 comparison

By:  Erren Van Duine The gloves are off – Square Enix has lifted the veil on Final Fantasy X HD and it’s simply stunning, but how does it compare to the classic PlayStation 2 release? While previous rumors had made tell about a possible visual upgrade for the game, I don’t think anyone expected what we received today. A lot of hard work has gone into this release – something that clearly justifies the nearly two year absence since the game’s original announcement []

Sunday Night TV (24 Mar 2013)

Pinocchio has been a very naughty boy.  I knew Neil’s fiance was too good to be true, I knew that she would have some flaw.  I don’t like her, not at all, but I don’t understand why “the Dragon” didn’t just vanish, and I find it unbelievable that he would be brought down by a taser, both him and Pinocchio, who isn’t even a real boy.  It’s the one plot hole in this story that I just do not understand or believe.
