Sony seeking The Order: 1886 trademark

Sony has filed a trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for The Order: 1886. The mark, applied for on April 18 and uncovered by NeoGAF, covers “Computer game software; Video game software.”

A website––was registered privately last month. The page does not resolve to anything. No further information is available and a Sony representative was not immediately available to comment.

A number of developers are working on new franchises for the PlayStation 4, including God of War PSP developer Ready At DawnCapcom, andGuerrilla Games. These projects have not been announced.
