Forever Strong

The origin of Ultraman!  Oh but first, isn’t that an awesome cover?  I thought so.

Anyway!  All right, so here we really got to see just how opposite Earth 3 really is, from beginning to end.  Not only was his upbringing different, both pair of his parents were completely different than everything on Earth 1.  It was certainly illuminating how that world turned out and showed us more about Ultraman and why he sniffs Kryptonite like a drug and why he can’t go into the sunlight, like a Vampire.  He considers this world weak, and is seeking answers to discover just how weak this world really is. So he goes after Jimmy and Lois of the Daily Planet and is prepared to kill them both like he has always wanted to on his world, but that is until Black Adam comes to the rescue.  That is going to be an epic fight – Forever Evil #3 – I am totally excited for it.  Anyway, good narrative and story telling.  I’m hooked.

Injustice: Gods Among Us #10

Betrayals

Damien really knows how to beat his father.  Maybe that’s why I love him, because I love Bruce and this kid is better than his own father.  But it’s also a little annoying how much everyone’s paranoia and abuse of power is getting to everyone.  And they killed Martian Manhunter!  Superman killed him, because he was trying to kill Wonder Woman who is really pissing me off here.  I love her in the Justice League, even in her own comic with that horrendous artwork.  But here, in Injustice, I kind of really want her to, ya know, die.  They also revealed that Bruce is Batman.  They revealed his secret identity!

Okay, so not going to lie, kind of sick and tired of this comic right now, I mean it slowed down too much and the story is dragging.  Granted, it picked up pace here, but the characterization is incredibly annoying.  I will admit that I am probably bias because paranoid characters in any genre tend to annoy me.  That being said though, there is a lot of tension in the story and regarding the characters.  Also, it only has two issues left.  And hey!  Where the heck is Harley Quinn?
