Justice League United #0
Justice League Canada Part 1 (of 5)
Quirky. That is how this series should be described. Not that thrilling of a story though, not very captivating, but the overall characterization was good, especially in regards to Animal Man and Green Arrow. Neither one can take the other one seriously, and underneath that, readers are able to see that between the pair of them, it’s going to be a fun read and that strong bonds of friendship are going to form between the pair of them. Then there is the introduction of Miyahbin, a new hero in the new 2 world.
Now, this was over all, a very well written issue even if the story was a big lagging in the captivation department., but the artistic detail and the character choice so far works for the series and the direction it’s going in.
Slowly bringing the team together under unusual circumstances, as with any team, the writers build a solid foundation, something the Justice League of America was sorely lacking. Overall, this looks like the start of a new solid team.
Stories need to be more interesting though

Justice League Dark #30
Have you notice how the Justice League Dark team seems to be shifting? The team started out with Madam Xanadu, Constantine, Zatanna, Enchantress, and Deadman. Now it’s Nightmare Nurse, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, maybe (on occasion) Constantine.
Now, this issue is closing the door on the FOREVER EVIL: BLIGHT story arc, building the tie between Zatanna, her new team and the house. Following her narrative, the issue focuses mainly on her. Zatanna has not only bonded to the house, but she has bonded to the team as well. However, of course, Constantine has something to say. After abandoning Zatanna in the FOREVER EVIL: BLIGHT story line, a showdown commenced between the two in the last issue. Both are heartbroken, as the door has finally been closed on their relationship.
Of course, whether the door is going to stay closed on their relationship is a whole other story. Nevertheless, the writing surrounding their relationship and the team dynamic, providing proper exits based on the characters personalities, was well done. This series is up to par with the Justice League. It’s a small nit group, and while it’s not solid, there are those solid characters who are constantly there. Each character, struggles with their own inner demons, as proved by this issue with the Nightmare Nurse (who is super cool).
Leaving off with Asa, the Nightmare Nurse, burning from inside out, a person has been revealed, one Alice Winter. Now the writers are going to explore the origins of one of the newest characters in the DC Universe.
