Since the new trailer has been released for the HD re-mastered version revealing footage for the next installment in the Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts 3, the next anticipated game in the series and for all us fans out there, more has been revealed about the upcoming game.

In a recent interview with the co-director of the series, Tai Yasue had this to say at the latest ‘Square Enix Presents:

“Although the footage may change, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be about those words from the start of the game. It’s a secret but as for whom the person speaking is, you may be able to pin [their identity] down immediately from the figures seen.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 will continue the theme of bringing Final Fantasy and Disney worlds and characters together to build the story and the plot line as game players follow an adult Sora on his new adventure. Given all the information that we have so far, it seems that the Foretellers within the game are going to have much larger roles than before as the game

However, given this information, the story has yet to actually been finalized says the game developer:

“I can’t say for sure but a portion of it has been set in stone. When creating a Kingdom Hearts game, the storyline must usually be completely determined; how it will play and its system will be quickly developed simultaneously. New information is expected to be released soon as soon as we’re ready. Please stay tuned!”

There is no set release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 but Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix, which is including scenes from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix, will be released October 2nd in Japan, December 2nd in North America and December 5th in Europe. One of the best Christmas Gifts if I do say so myself.

Stay tuned for more updates and details on Kingdom Hearts 3.
