Hey there readers! I know it’s been a while but I returned to college so I didn’t really have enough time to read let alone blog much of the time. But I have returned so yay! Most of you may have noticed that I have changed the template on my blog a bit as far as banner photos go and such and I hope you all like them. Now that I took a design course at college designing the content is a lot of fun with Adobe InDesign. It’s worth the $20 a month expense while I’m in school to be quite honest.

But enough about that, here is my weekly reading segment. For those of you who may be new, this is a weekly piece where I share what I’m reading now and what I will be reading soon enough. I like to give readers an opportunity to see what there is out there in case they are struggling with finding something to read. I include book synopsis and other details from the novel to give an idea of the genre, author and content of the novel. So I hope you all enjoy!

1. A Natural History of Dragons (Memoir by Lady Trent #1) by Marie Brennan

So I’m already halfway through with this novel and I like it. It really does read like a memoir and while many people may not be interested in that as they read a novel about Dragon’s and Adventure, take care that the title of the novel did warn the readers. It is very much a fictional memoir based in a fictional land of a fictional woman where dragons live. This is a world I would very much love to live in, sort of Victorian England-esc with a touch of fantasy. Besides, I am a girl who loves dragons, even have a tattoo of one right above my heart…not that you needed to know that. Anyway, here is the general synopsis courtesy of Goodreads:

2. Wolf Pact (Wolf Pact #1-4) by Melissa de la Cruz

I have this novel in my Nook library and have been dying to get to read it for the longest time. Now, I am officially making the time to read it, in fact I am going to read everything in my Nook library and my Kindle library because yes, I have both on my Samsung Nook Tab 4. I loved the Blue Bloods series, the first few books more than the last few, but Bliss was a very interesting character, constantly lost, constantly possessed. And then she just vanished from the books until the near end to get her own 4 novellas that have officially – and thankfully – been combined into one novel.

Anyway, here is the synopsis, courtesy of Goodreads:

3. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

I’m a sucker for Fairy Tale retellings and I’ve had this series heavily recommended to me, so here I am, finally putting it on my to read list and once I get through with the above novels, this one is coming up! I’m not really into a lot of what is considered “girly” but the original fairy tales are just so bitter-sweet and amazing and so far, I have yet to be disappointed by a fairy tale retelling. What can I say, I’ve got the feet of Cinderella and her compassion for animals, an undeniable love of apples like Snow White, love to read like Belle and love my beauty sleep. Darn those princess-like attributions.

But enough of my rambling, here is the synopsis, once again courtesy of Goodreads:
