Hey there readers! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I can’t believe Winter is here. Well, not here in Florida, but everywhere else just about. I love winter, I miss Boston winter to be honest with you. The first snowfall, its beautiful. But of course, the best way to enjoy the winter is with a good book, some cocoa, and comfy nook to read in.
So in honor of that, check out some of the titles I am highly anticipating this winter season. What titles are you excited for?
1. Unseelie

You know, I have an ARC for this one, and I’m really hoping I get to it soon. I love the concept and the uniqueness the plot offers within the fae fiction realm.

2. The Poison Season

The cover here is simply beautiful. Foliage seems to be trending right now, doesn’t it? Anyway, I’m excited about the story and I like Rutherford’s storytelling.
Outsiders are always given a choice: the Forest or the lake. Either way, they’re never heard from again. Leelo has spent her entire life on Endla, coexisting with the bloodthirsty Forest and respecting the poisonous lake that protects her island from outsiders who seek to destroy it.
3. Lumara

I love the idea of a girl with no magic in a land of magic trying to save those with magic. Girl power!

4. She Is a Haunting

It is always a good time to read a spooky novel. I love exploring complex and deep themes through the horror scope. Hollywood has been doing it for years, but the context, the storytelling, I feel like it is more impactful.
A YA coming-of-age ghost story sets a girl’s navigation of her Vietnamese American bisexual identity against both the dark legacy of colonialism and a blossoming summer romance, when she visits her estranged father in Vietnam and learns that the house they share is haunted.
5. Immortality: A Love Story

Don’t ask me if I’ve read book one. I own it, but sadly have no had the time to read it! Hopefully, that will change soon.

I’m really digging the vibe of this cover and the vibe of the series. Still have to read it but I have plans to. This is high on my reading list.

I love Buffy and I like Kendare Blake’s storytelling. Have I read the first book here? No. But again, I have it and I have plans to finish it.

10. Spice Road

I love this cover and I love the fact that it is not fae related. Don’t get me wrong, I like fae stories, but I want something different. Maybe some magic, some djinn. And the fact that this is connected to the arabian culture, that just thrills me. I love stories like that and I wish there were more of them.

12. Nine Liars

I need to read this series. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this series. I love mysteries and I grew up in Cambridge so this calls to me.

I have literally waited years for this book. I still have my physical ARC of These Feathered Flames. I am so excited to finally get this book in my hands. You know what, I’m probably going to have to re-read the first book. I’m excited!
