By: Cynthia A. Batman and Robin Annual #2 Batman and Robin: Week One I miss Damien!  Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.  But anyway, in this annual, it starts off with a beautiful flashback between Damien and Dick then swings to the present as Bruce is cleaning up and find a box that has a note and label (“The Robin Cave” – if you ask me “The Nest” sounds cooler), that causes Bruce to call Dick and ask what it’s all about.  This []

By: Cynthia A. Justice League Dark #26 Blight: The Haunted Sea That was…unexpected.  But on the bright side, Deadman has returned to the team.  Woohoo!  Sorry folks, he’s just one of those one of a kind heroes that deserves respect.  But anyway, this last issue continues the Forever Evil story line with John Constantine and his team of super-naturals trying to figure out a way to stop the entity they call the Blight.  The being had taken hold of the boy Chris, []

By: Cynthia A. Red Lanterns #25 Sphere of Influence This comic series needs to stay like this.  It was good before, but now it has gotten even better.  Guy Gardner is leading the Red Lanterns and Atrocitus and Dex-Starr are searching for a way to bring Atrocitus back to power.  Dex-Starr is such a cute kitty!  Nothing bad is allowed to happen to that cute little kit-cat. Now, what else made this issue amazing, was it follows the events of Lights Out []

The story takes place right as Batman begins to make his presence known in Gotham when Nightwing still had parents and was the star of the Hayley Circus, letting everyone know it.  So the point of this issue to show growth []

Week 44 2013 | Part 3 | Comic Reviews

By: Cynthia A. Aquaman #24 Death of a King: Chapter Six: Secret of the Seven Seas Well that was certainly intense.  King Arthur has finally discovered the truth of his ancestry, the truth behind the fact that his ancestors were scared, frightened of the mixing of their blood with that of outsiders and thus killed the family King Atlan, the true king of Atlan who was a great man.  It was a sad story that holds the lesson that monsters create monsters.  []
