January 2026 TBR: Can I Survive an Insane 20-Book Reading Goal?

New month, new reading ambitions—and apparently, new levels of delusion. We’re officially swapping December for January, and yes, I’ve decided to set an insane 20-book reading goal to kick off the year.

Is it ambitious? Absolutely. Is it unnecessary pressure? Maybe. Am I still going to try? Obviously.

January feels like the perfect month to lean fully into mood reading, long nights, and “just one more chapter” energy. This TBR is a mix of fantasy, dark stories, emotional damage, and whatever else calls to me in the moment—because flexibility is key when you’re aiming high.

Will I hit all 20 books? Who knows. But we’re starting the year with big goals, chaotic optimism, and a very full bookshelf, and honestly, that’s the vibe.

Here’s to a bold reading start to the new year 📖✨
