You had me at mystical cat shelter. Truly, Heather Fawcett did not need to work any harder than that. 😂🐈

Today I’m reviewing Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett, a cozy fantasy filled with magical chaos, rescue cats, romance, grief, second chances, and plenty of heart. Set in an alternate 1920s Montréal, the novel follows the meticulously organized Agnes as saving her cat rescue brings her into the orbit of Havelock—an infamous magician secretly running an illegal magic shop beneath her new shelter.

And considering Heather Fawcett is also the author of the Emily Wilde series, I was incredibly curious to see what she would do with a story that leans so heavily into cozy fantasy.
