The Chowder House Murder Review | Small-Town Secrets & Cozy Mystery Charm

Today I’m reviewing The Chowder House Murder by Lee Hollis—a cozy mystery that serves up murder, small-town intrigue, family drama, and plenty of secrets alongside its seaside atmosphere.

And apparently I still surprise people when I tell them how much I love cozy mysteries. 😂

I know. I give off doom-and-gloom vibes. But sometimes I want a picturesque little town where everybody knows everybody, somebody gets murdered, and an amateur sleuth decides the police clearly need some unsolicited assistance.

The Chowder House Murder delivered exactly that.

This was my first time reading Lee Hollis, and considering how many cozy mysteries they’ve written, I’m extremely late to the party. But as an introduction to the new Downeast Maine Mystery series?

I had a lot of fun.
