Week 35 2014 | Part 2 | Comic Book Reviews

Hello there avid readers. Admittedly, these are not the best reviews I have ever written but what are usually my late night to type have taken a turn to replay Final Fantasy X-2. I’m a sucker for that game and I really want that 100%. I’m at 97% right now so lets hope that I achieve that perfect ending. But you’re not here for that. You’re here to see what I have covered. First up is Justice League United #4, followed by Aquaman #34 and then Star Wars: Darth Maul – Son of Dathomir #4. Happy reading!

Week 34 2014 | Part 3 | Comic Reviews

Last piece of the week. I hope everyone has plans for a wonderful weekend. Side note, this weekend is my birthday. I am turning 23 this weekend. I had plans but I just got my job back – was suspended due to a disagreeable secret shopper – but now that’s done and I can only bounce back from it. And I am. I’m happy and energetic, a little hungry, but overall, I’m a happy panda and I still get my Saturday off even know my birthday is on Sunday. I’ll take it. Anyway, to conclude this week’s comic books reviews I have Marvels Inhuman #3 where Queen Medusa takes charge and the final Star Wars issue by Dark Horse Star Wars #20.

Week 30 2014 | Part 3 | Comic Reviews

Concluding this week outside of DC to delve into Star Wars and the Marvel Universe. They’re not one unit yet! First up is Original Sin #6 that brings readers a despicable Nick Fury, sacrificing story and plot to do so followed by Star Wars: Darth Maul – Son of Dathomir #3 that allies Count Dooku and Maul against the Jedi Forces. Happy Friday all! Hope you all have a great weekend. Don’t forget, Guardians of the Galaxy opens today. It was awesome!

Week 28 2014 | Part 3 | Comic Reviews

Rounding up this week, I will be closing with two segments outside of the DC Universe. See, I read more than DC, they just happen to be my favorite. Now, onto the reviews. I’m opening up this segment with Marvel Comics Original Sin #5, where the story seems to have lost track of where it began followed by Star Wars #19 where the writers continue to focus on Princess Leia and her character dynamic with Luke and Han versus incorporating all three perspectives equally in the piece. Pulling these reviews to a close I am ending the week with a review of Red Lanterns #32, where Atrocitus has declared war on the Red Lantern faction led by Guy Gardner and Star Wars: Rebel Heist #3 in which Chewbacca takes center stage and proves he doesn’t need Han Solo to stand out.

Launching off this weeks’ reviews with Star Wars! In this latest segment I’m covering Star Wars #18 as the Rebel Forces are betrayed on Princess Leia’s wedding day. But of course, she is as prepared and unwavering as always, capturing her strong personality. Then I’m covering Star Wars: Darth Maul – Son of Dathomir #2 where it’s him against Count Dooku. You just can’t keep a good Sith down…especially one who is working with a Witch of Dathomir.

Next, we have a review of Inhuman #2, a piece that is filled with amazing artwork as well as a look at The Winter Soilder: The Bitter March #4 that delves into the psyche with this 60’s spy thriller, pushing the characters to the edge.

Week 19 2014 | Part 1 | Comic Review

A new week of reviews. The launch of this week’s reviews focuses over two fan favorite series: Star Wars and Firefly. Star Wars: Rebel Heist #1 focuses on the Rebel alliances, following the perspective of the a rebel recruit as a usage to develop Han Solo not as a Rebel but as a man who has a purpose he is willing to die for and Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #4 that continues the story split into two aspects, of Zoe’s imprisonment and Mal’s determination and lengths he is willing to go through in order to save his friends and others like River. Mal is a man who seeks not only to undermine the Alliance but to do the right thing by the Universe.

Continued from Monday, the latest in comic book reviews. This article features review on Dark Horse Comics Star Wars #16, that shows the sibling connected of Leia and Luke, unknown to them, Worlds’ Finest #22 that brings the “First Contact” story line to a full close while introducing a new story arc, and Red Hood and the Outlaws #30 that brings in some fun action sequences but sacrifices character development.
