It took forever to see this movie. You may think that since I work at the theater, I get to see the movies, but that is not the case. I do not get to see the movies when I am working, and after a hard-long weekend, the last thing on my mind is going to the movies. So just keep that in mind the next time you ask the person selling you the tickets if they have seen the movie yet.Continue reading “Thankfully Light and Fun | Review of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’”

As a comic book fan and reader, I tend to set my standards high, especially for DC because those are the comics I buy. But ever since The Dark Knight, there hasn’t been a decent DC film. Until now. When an ancient mutant with tremendous powers awakens from a deep sleep to find the humans have taken over, he vows, with his four horsemen—Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, and Angel—to reshape the world and bring everyone—humans and mutants—to their knees.
Wade Wilson is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
A con artist named Scott Lang gets a shot at redemption when his mentor asks him to protect a superpowered suit. Donning the stunning technology, which shrinks him down to minuscule size, he fights off villains seeking to steal the invention, and organizes a heist that could save the world. Peyton Reed directs this high-octane superhero flick.
