Dragons of Deceit Cover Reveal

We have a cover and release date!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this. Yesterday Margaret Weis shared the cover of Dragons of Deceit on her Twitter page. I have loved Dragonlance since I was a tween. I think I started when I was 12. My mother got me into the series when they republished Dragonlance Chronicles in young adult format. I have to say I was hesitant at first, but boy, it was amazing.

Since then I have read almost every single DragonLance book published by Wizards of the Coast. This is a series that used to take up almost two bookcases in Barnes and Noble. But for some reason, Wizards of the Coast just stopped. Now all they seem to publish is Drizzt books of the Forgotten Realms.

However, last year it was announced that Weis and Hickman, the two that launched it, we’re returning to the land of Krynn. And while I will never forgive them for what they did to my beloved Tahkisis, I could not be more excited.

Originally, Dragon’s of Deceit was slated for release in the Fall of 2021, but after Wizards breached the contract and decided they were not going to go ahead with this series (bastards!), Weis and Hickman were tied up in a lawsuit until a settlement allowed them to go to another published.

Thank you Del Rey! Del Rey is now the new publisher of this upcoming trilogy and hopefully, this means Dragonlance will come back to fill the shelves of bookstores.

I love it. This cover fills me with warmth and love, and nostalgia. Dragons of Deceit is coming on August 9th. Now, if you’re interested, and I hope you are, please pick up the Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy and Dragonlance War of the Souls Trilogy first. Considering how Weis describes it, those two are must-reads.

I’m so excited! Don’t forget to pre-order it here.
