Natasha Bowen’s Call of the Dragon completely pulled me into its world, blending rich mythology, compelling themes, and meaningful character development into a fantasy adventure that was incredibly difficult to put down.
In this episode, I’m discussing what made this novel work so well for me, from its exploration of history and identity to the way Bowen continues to weave mythology into her storytelling. While readers familiar with Skin of the Sea will recognize her strengths, I found Call of the Dragon to be an even more immersive and rewarding reading experience.
