Natasha Bowen returns with another mythology-infused fantasy, and while Skin of the Sea introduced readers to her rich storytelling style, Call of the Dragon feels even stronger.
This novel blends fantasy, mythology, adventure, and character growth into a compelling story that explores identity, power, history, and the importance of understanding where we come from.
While the mythology may be unfamiliar to some readers, Bowen does an excellent job weaving it into the narrative without making the story feel inaccessible. The result is an engaging fantasy that balances worldbuilding, action, and emotional depth remarkably well.
