“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X somewhere on the Mexican border. However, Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant arrives, pursued by dark forces.”

There’s simply no limit to the beauty this film has wrapped in all the swearing and gritty glory that defines Wolverine’s character and this film. Wolverine has not had an easy life, he has gone through so much and the writers knew just how to capitalize on the character, the Wolverine, and evolve the story for him. They took a risk, and they ended the story properly, they ended it in such a way that they gave closure to the character and his legacy in the X-Men.

Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne And More Up For The Part Of Harry Osborn In Amazing Spider-Man 2

By: Eric Eisenberg

Last week brought a list of names including Brady Corbet (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), Alden Ehrenreich (Beautiful Creatures) for the role of Harry Osborn in the sequel to Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, but apparently the studio has decided to move in a different direction with the character and are now looking for a whole crop of other potential stars.

THR has gotten a new shortlist of actors going out for the coveted role in the upcoming superhero flick, and while the character type has changed, once again it seems that they are going for smaller names rather than A-listers (though some are about to see a career boom). The trade’s new report says that Sam Claflin, of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire; Eddie Redmayne, from My Week With Marilyn and the forthcoming Les Miserables; Douglas Booth, who is currently playing a role in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah; and Hatfields & McCoys‘ Boyd Holbrook will all be testing with the director and the studio to play Harry.

Played by James Franco in the Sam Raimi trilogy, Harry is typically portrayed as a long time friend of Peter Parker’s, and also, unfortunately, the son of Norman Osborn, a.k.a. the villainous Green Goblin. While the previous report said that the portrayal in the new movie would be similar to the previous incarnation – dark and edgy” – the story has apparently been changed and they are “now seeking actors with characteristics that include athleticism and good looks.”

Whoever ends up being cast will join Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacey), Shailene Woodley (Mary Jane Watson) and possibly Jamie Foxx (Electro) in the sequel, which is being written by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci and will be released on May 2, 2014.
