“With her last living breath, Tenley “Ten” Lockwood made her choice and picked her realm in the Everlife. Now, as the war between Troika and Myriad rages, she must face the consequences. Because Ten possesses a rare supernatural ability to absorb and share light, the Powers That Be have the highest expectations for her future—and the enemy wants her neutralized. Fighting to save her Secondlife, she must launch her first mission: convincing a select group of humans to join her side before they die. But Ten’s competition is Killian, the boy she can’t forget—the one who gave up everything for her happiness. He has only one shot at redemption: beating Ten at a game she’s never even played. As their throw-downs heat up, so do their undeniable feelings, and soon, Ten will have to make another choice. Love…or victory.” —Goodreads
Here you have it, readers. Many books were listed but there could only be one winner, and by slim numbers, our winner this month is Lifeblood by Gena Showalter, the second in her Everlife series, the first of which also won last year’s book of the month! Let’s give a round of applause to Gena! Check out what this book is all about and stay tuned for a featured review right here on Cyn’s Workshop. You can already find a review of the first novel, Firstlife, here too. Happy reading!
There are three choices after death. Two realms that fight for power and one where the lost souls go to suffer. Ten hasn’t chosen an afterlife, and her family has made her suffer for it. Both realms want her and have sent their top Laborers to recruit her in their war, but with one side desperate to force her hand, the real struggle is surviving long enough to make her choice.
Hey there avid readers! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend. For me, this weekend has been spent at the Annual South Florida Supercon! Woo! It was tons of fun, as always. And if any of you were there you know how much fun it was. Anyway, it’s been a pretty busy past few weeks which is why I’m a little slow on the reading here, but here’s what I’ve got coming up. And as you can imagine, I didn’t have a ton of time to read this weekend. I’m almost done with Dog with a Bone, just got 2 chapters left and I’m enjoying it, needs a little more structure to it, but overall, I’m liking it. Check out the other books and she if they catch your fancy. Happy Fourth of July! Continue reading “Weekly Reading List #49”

Hello there avid readers! So I will be starting a new segment next Month to choose a book of the month. I don’t know if it will be books that are coming out, books I’ve already read in the past during that month or even a mixture of the two. Leave your opinions in the comments section and let me know what you think about the idea. Publishers and authors, if you’re interested, let me know!
Hello there fellow readers! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful year so far. It has been very somewhat depressing with the deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman, both who were amazing in everything that they did. They will forever be missed, that’s definite.
Now, if you have been staring at your bookshelf wondering what to read next, here’s something for you. Check out this weeks reading list courtesy of my interest. If your like me with a reading list so long, here is something to make what to read next a little easier. Happy reading! Continue reading “Weekly Reading List #29”
