I have to say this film touches on some tough subjects regarding racism and slavery. It’s not a terribly unique plot device, but it is one that still matters today. Why? From the director of District 9 comes Chappie, a science fiction film about the first true artificial intelligence, A.I. Starring Dev Patel, Ninja, Yo-Landi Visser, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Brandon Auret, Sigourney Weaver, Hugh Jackman and Sharlto Copley as the voice of Chappie.
The movie follows the same aesthetic as District 9. However, with fewer interviews to propel the story forward.
