If you haven’t noticed, the folks behind The Dark Knight Rises have been keeping things fairly close to the chest. Though we are aware of the characters that will be appearing in the movie and we’ve seen two trailers, we still really don’t know anything about the plot or what said characters will be doing and why. And that isn’t likely to change. We’re now only three months away from the film’s release and something tells me that Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. are completely satisfied with the information we currently don’t have. Need proof? Just look at the release date of the tie-in book.
The Warner Bros Official Twitter has revealed that The Dark Knight Rises novelization will be released worldwide on July 20th, the same date that the movie will be arriving in theaters. SHH has gotten some news about the book, which is being distributed by Titan Books and written by author Greg Cox. The writer is best known for his best-selling books based on existing movie and television properties, such as Star Trek, Underworld, and Warehouse 13.
]Serious question to all you readers out there: does anyone regularly read movie novelizations? I remember reading the one for The Phantom Menace back in 1999, but I’ve honestly never really seen the point in them (I can imagine they have a really wonderful habit of ruining the movie). Let us know in the comments section and, most importantly, do you plan on picking up the book copy of The Dark Knight Rises?
