Sites have been rumoring the cancellation of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Versus XIII.  But there has been confirmation that that is incorrect.  Square Enix has confirmed that the game is still in development.

In response to the rumors, Square Enix CEO, Yoichi Wada, denied the rumors over Twitter stating:

“There’s someone making a false rumour that Versus was cancelled. Haha… just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended. If you saw the presentation of the city, it’d knock you off your feet – lol.”

Hopefully given this statement we’ll be seeing something at the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Event.  Lets keep our fingers crossed.
