So this was the last short story I wrote before I took my Leave of Absence at Emerson College. I think this one is one of my more favorite short stories that I wrote. It started as a writing exercise and then I decided I wanted to expand the idea. My first draft was okay and this is my third draft that I kind of wish I had handed in as my Final. I still got a B+ but I believe this is an improved version of the story.
I wanted to play around with first person which I have found I have difficulty with. So I really wanted feed back on what i needed to work on as far as skill and writing was concerned. I’m well aware of my weaknesses as a writer but I believe the more I write and read, the stronger I become. I’ll probably never be a Hemingway or a Woolf, but I like to strive for that and that’s why I never stop writing.
But I went off on a tangent there. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
