Introducing: Crow Moon Candle!

Hey there everyone, I am pleased to announce the latest addition to my candle collection! So I don’t know if any of you know this, but the full moons have special names given to them by various cultures. As I am Wiccan and part Native American, I began creating candles in honor of those moons and what they celebrate. I’ve always had a kinship to the moon ever since I was a child, Artemis has always been my chosen deity, I wear moons everywhere.

So in March, I meant to create this candle in honor of the March moon, called by some the Worm Moon. I was originally going to call this candle the Worm Moon Candle but that did not sound very appealing. So instead I did some research and found out that some Native American tribes called this moon the Crow Moon. I love crows, I even gave my son the middle name Corvus which is Latin for Crows and Ravens. So I fell in love and decided to make this wonderful candle.

The first full moon of Spring, I decided to go in a more floral route. Personally, I’m not a floral person, so I wanted to offset the strong scents with something fruity. So, I’ve combined Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, and Pennyroyal. If any of you have smelled Pennyroyal, it smells a lot like Irish Spring soap and I don’t want my candles to smell like soap. Thankfully the Honeysuckle and Grapefruit are soft enough scents that work together to temper the Pennyroyal. The end result was something really lovely that makes me think of a spring meadow. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Also, I am having a sale on my Etsy store. From now until May 1st enjoy 15% off everything. Remember, if you live in the U.S. and spend at least $35 you also qualify for Free Shipping. I hope you all enjoy it!
