Sometimes a book becomes so popular that it feels impossible for it to live up to the hype. After hearing readers rave about Dungeon Crawler Carl for years, I finally picked it up—and somehow, it exceeded every expectation.

This book is chaotic, hilarious, brutal, bizarre, and completely addictive. What begins as an absurd premise quickly evolves into an action-packed adventure filled with sharp humor, emotional depth, creative world-building, and some of the most entertaining characters I’ve encountered in recent years.

Simply put, I get the hype now.
