When I first picked up Beast Becomes Her by Crystal Seitz, I expected a dark fantasy rooted in Norse mythology.
What I didn’t expect was just how emotional, atmospheric, and character-driven the story would be.
Described as Wednesday meets Norse mythology, the novel follows a teenage berserkr sent to a secret magical academy where a series of gruesome murders threatens the entire student body. As Edith investigates the killings, she must also confront the darkness growing inside herself.
The result is a compelling blend of fantasy, mystery, horror, and self-discovery.
