Justice League #19 War Games The new atom is a girl. I have to say, I am impressed with that. It was a great way to gender swap the characters. The show of development in Jason and referencing his past demise at the hands of the Joker (please introduce yourself to that original comic – it’s awesome), was really well written. It was small, but the dialogue on those few pages with the pair of them was good. Then there was the […]
By: Nick Venable While some fans clamor for a trilogy’s finale because their anticipation for the film has reached its unbearable apex, others are anxiously waiting for that franchise to be completely eradicated from the daily entertainment headlines. The Resident Evil franchise is the perfect example of both of these polarized viewpoints – though considering it’s nearing the end of its second trilogy, the voice of the naysayers are echoing loudly through the halls of the Umbrella Corporation and nobody seems to be listening. Even […]
Red Hood & the Outlaws #0 Everyone has to start somewhere… Once again, a story we already know. Before I go any further, this comic has actually made me like Jason Todd, I no longer think he’s such a freaking a**hole. But he’s an anti-hero, I think I should hate him but have the utmost respect for him, which are the feelings I used to have to him. But anyway, they have three characters here to work with. One of which is […]
Wonder Woman #9 The Dearly Beloved I have issues with the way this comic is drawn. As in I don’t like it. I’m going to make this quick. Edging is to thick, I feel as though the artist is, in a vain attempt, trying to make a cool effect. He is failing miserable. The inking, coupled with the edging is simply disastrous. Were the pencilling done by a different person, it would actually be pleasing to the eye…but it’s not. Now I […]
Great episode. The writers almost had me going, I actually though August was Bae, Rumplestiltskin’s son, until they told us otherwise anyway. I do wonder however who he is. He knows, he knows about the world, he knows about magic and he knows about the curse. August knows what is going on, now who the heck is he? If you have any theories, be sure to comment for discussion. Now, that’s why I really liked this episode, because they had me going, […]
Week 2 2012 Pt. 1 VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL Batman & Robin #5 Mutineer I love P. J. Tomasi, he is such a brilliant writer. This story line had Damien running away from home to join Nobody (hmm makes me think of Kingdom Hearts) who is a villain who knows who both he and Batman are. Bruce is trying here, to be a dad but I don’t think there is any stopping Damien from becoming Azreal. However I don’t think that […]
Week 45 2011 VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL Superboy #3 Free at last, Free at last Good issue, I liked how it ended, made me wonder and thinking about everything that is going on with Superboy. I like the villain that he just fought and I like how he is acting more like Conner Kent than Superboy Prime, which was giving me cause to worry a bit. In any case, I did enjoy the comic here, I like the direction of the […]
