A Fun Heartwarming Film | ‘This Is Where I Leave You’ Review

When their father passes away, four grown, world-weary siblings return to their childhood home and are requested – with an admonition – to stay there together for a week, along with their free-speaking mother and a collection of spouses, exes and might-have-beens. As the brothers and sisters re-examine their shared history and the status of each tattered relationship among those who know and love them best, they reconnect in hysterically funny and emotionally significant ways.

A film with a lot of heart as the characters deal with the loss of their father and see where their lives have fallen compared to what they wanted. Jason Batemen plays Judd and he is the main protagonist in this film. The film opens with him coming home to discover that his wife is having an affair with his boss, and has been for a year. With nothing left after he quits his job and divorces his “whore of wife” – direct quote from the film – he gets a call from his sister, played by the ever so charming Tina Fey, informing him that that their father has passed away.
