Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City also outsold another highly anticipated Capcom game, the much praised fighting game Street Fighter X Tekken.  Those game sales lagged, coming in at only 1.4 million as of March 31st.

News of the game sales comes as part of Capcom’s financial report for the fiscal year where it was announced that net sales dipped 16%  from the prior year.  Operating income also sank (in terms of profit) with a net income for the period dropping 13.2%.

However the company experts to hit it’s mark of 1.31 billion and record 122.59 million in net earning for the year (ending March 31 2013) through investments and big budget AAA titles, one of which is Resident Evil 6.  The game is due for release in October.
