If you’re following this blog then you must have figured out by now that I am a bit of a reading addict.  To be quite honest, I am reading faster than I can blog.  I read about 3 books a week, when I’m feeling great and have the time for it.  This week should be no different.  Se below are the three books that I am reading this week, or will read rather.

1. End Times

End Times is written by Anna Schumacher.  A novel that hasn’t been officially released as of yet, but I was able to snag a free advanced copy thanks to Penguin Publishing First to Read program.  The novel takes place in Carbon County, Wyoming and follows one Daphne a she flees her broken home in Detroit to live with her all to Christian and accepting Uncle and his family.   Desperate to show her appreciation, she opens something in the world around her, turning the people of quiet Carbon into believers of faith.  Thrown into the spotlight as a messenger of God, Daphne must find the strength within herself to believe the noise around her and search the signs from above.

So far, I like the book and it is incredibly interesting.  Hopefully it stays that way.

2. A World Without Princes (The School for Good and Evil, #2)

Now this is something I am incredibly excited about!  Honestly, I haven’t been this excited about a book series since Harry Potter.  Yes, I love to read and I become incredibly engrossed and addicted to book series’ that are written incredibly well, but the first book in this series, released last year, has put an unbelievable spell on me.

Pick up the first book.  Just do it, please!  It follows two young girls who are kidnapped and taken away to the school for good and evil, a place that creates all the fairy tales and weaves them into reality.  At the ending of the last novel, the girls are swept off, living their happily ever after, but when Agatha wishes she had chosen a different ending, the gates of the school are thrown open and the girls have to bring peace to a land where good and evil are always fighting.

This book is being released April 15th.  I am so getting my copy!

3. Fyre (Septimus Heap, #7)

The last novel in the Septimus Heap series that follows young Septimus Heap, the seventh son of the seventh son, and Jenna, the young Queen, as they grow into who they are and finalize their place in the Magycal world.  But danger still hovers over these two and those around them, and this novel presents readers these young heroes as they face evil one final time.

This book was released over a year ago but I’m one of those people who waits until the paperback becomes available when I don’t have time to pick up the book to read at the bookstore or library.

I’m both excited and sad that this is the final novel in the series because I have been reading this series for years and it’s a very good book for young readers because, much like with Harry Potter, you’re following a character through the years, watching them grow up and face the dark challenges of the world around them.

Hopefully this book will deliver and live up to my hype.
