I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday. But, I digress here is part one of this weeks comic book reviews. Up first is Supergirl #34 introducing a new love interest for the character, followed by Green Lantern: New Guardians #34 which has brought the latest story arc to a sad conclusion. And finally we have Justice League Dark #34 where Deadman’s true origins are finally revealed. Happy reading!
The final conclusion to this weeks comic reviews. This article features the first issue of the new series Justice League United #0, that brings in members from all over and introduces Miyahbin, a Native American, into the DC Universe and analyzes the aftershocks of the FOREVER EVIL: BLIGHT story arc in Justice League Dark #30.
By: Cynthia A. Superman #28 Under Fire Awesome! So it looks like Lois Lane officially knows that Superman and Clark Kent are one and the same, but on the bright side, it also looks like she is playing dumb on the matter at hand considering that she still has some of the psionic powers that were bestowed upon her. That’s only a speculation however, but the possibility is very high on the matter. Now, in regards to the story, it was good. […]
By: Cynthia A. Justice League Dark #26 Blight: The Haunted Sea That was…unexpected. But on the bright side, Deadman has returned to the team. Woohoo! Sorry folks, he’s just one of those one of a kind heroes that deserves respect. But anyway, this last issue continues the Forever Evil story line with John Constantine and his team of super-naturals trying to figure out a way to stop the entity they call the Blight. The being had taken hold of the boy Chris, […]
By: Cynthia A. Red Lanterns #25 Sphere of Influence This comic series needs to stay like this. It was good before, but now it has gotten even better. Guy Gardner is leading the Red Lanterns and Atrocitus and Dex-Starr are searching for a way to bring Atrocitus back to power. Dex-Starr is such a cute kitty! Nothing bad is allowed to happen to that cute little kit-cat. Now, what else made this issue amazing, was it follows the events of Lights Out […]
Nightwing #23 World Turned Upside Down Wow, now that was intense. The Prankster has turned the city on itself by setting the people of Chicago against the Mayor of Chicago and exposing the fact that he has been harboring Tony Zucco, the man who murdered the parents of Richard Grayson, aka Nightwing. So Nightwing is going around Chicago saving lives and trying to undo the many schemes that the Prankster has set up. All of that put together really made this issue […]
Justice League Dark #21 Horror City Conclusion: Die Die Die My Darling! A story centered around Madam Xanadu. Here J. Lemire introduces us into her son, the son who calls himself Doctor Destiny. Seeing the future is both a gift and a curse for Xanadu since she cannot control her visions. Her son turned to darkness because she abandoned him with his father due to the future she saw, the monster he would become. To know the future is to be trapped […]
Superboy #20 A Wretched H.I.V.E. He’s Krypto the Superdog! The best thing about this issue is how much it progresses and tries it’s hardest to stay true to the original concept of Superboy without violating any laws! The artwork in this issue has been better than in previous issues but the writing has remained consistent with the plot and the characters. The subplot is not the main feature of this comic and continues to provide consistent movement to keep this comic going […]
Teen Titans #15 Teen Scream I. LOVE. TIMOTHY DRAKE. I realize how wrong that sounds (although admit it, it’s not as disturbing as me loving Mr. J), he’s fictional, but he is awesome. And lets face it, the way Rapmund draws him makes him look so darn cute. All right, I’m gonna stop before I totally lose you. You there? Good, gad you stuck around J. This comic is amazing for two main reasons: 1. Dialogue, 2. Artwork. The dialogue just brings […]
Teen Titans #12 Armored Up & Out Ultimately, Cassie should end up with Tim. I know! I’m such a wishy-washy some times (don’t judge – I’m a chick). now that being said this is a geisha you. I really like the character development and I love kid flash. he simply an adorable character. it’s a great teen you have Kid Flash, Bunker & solstice who all balance each other out and then you have Red Robin, Superboy and Wonder Girl who equally […]
