As the title declares, this movie has two enormously famous superheroes, and we’re led to believe Justice will Dawn as a result of them facing off. But with a mouthful of a title, we have a little trouble figuring out exactly what kind of movie Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is trying to be. On the surface, it’s a long one. From what I could tell, Zack Snyder wanted to fit both a Batman movie and a Superman movie into its two and a half hour runtime. Those two unraveling entities finally meet up at the end for a bombastic finale that gets tacked on after the fight that the title promises. Individual parts of the movie aren’t bad, but the execution of putting them together leaves much to be desired, and we come out with a movie that is, in a word, a mess. Russell Crowe May Finally Make Directorial Debut With Historical Drama The Water Diviner

By: Nick Venable It’s been a pretty solid year already for Russell Crowe, having starred in Allen Hughes’ so-so crime thriller Broken City as well as Zack Snyder’s summer blockbuster-on-kryptonite-crackMan of Steel, where he found his inner Marlon Brando to play Superman’s father. I’m pretty sure if a Justice League movie ever gets made, they’ll figure out a way to get Crowe involved. Perhaps by hologram and voiceover a la Superman … Continue reading Russell Crowe May Finally Make Directorial Debut With Historical Drama The Water Diviner

While Snyder’s take on Superman has some people in doubt, Hans Zimmer’s inspirational scoring is bound to leave audiences moved regardless of how they felt about the movie as a whole. The man has a … Continue reading Hans Zimmer Confirms He’s Scoring Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar

Zack Snyder Suggests Man Of Steel Will Lead Directly Into Justice League

By:  Katey Rich What do we know for sure about the Justice League movie so far? Honestly, not a whole lot. Since Ben Affleck denied rumors that he might direct it, and Warner Bros. settled a legal suit against the estates of Superman’s creator, we’ve known mainly that the movie is going forward and is scheduled for 2015, that Gangster Squad‘s Will Beall will be writing it… … Continue reading Zack Snyder Suggests Man Of Steel Will Lead Directly Into Justice League

Wonder Woman Movie Moving Forward With Green Lantern Screenwriter

By: Sean O’Connell Buried, somewhat, beneath the noisy buzz surrounding news that Warner Bros. plans to move forward with a Justice League movie is the news item that a script is being commissioned for a Wonder Woman film, with a Green Lantern scribe hard at work and trying to deliver in a timely fashion. That makes sense. Of the League’s “Big Three” (Batman, Superman and … Continue reading Wonder Woman Movie Moving Forward With Green Lantern Screenwriter
