Weekly Reading List #80

By Cynthia Ayala

Hey there avid readers. I hope that everyone is doing well. Recently my kitten past away this week so it’s been a hard few days. I miss going to sleep at night without him walking all over me. He was 18, so not really a kitten, and at least I had so much time with him, but it hurts, having to let him go. But I’m doing okay, reading at night seems to help me sleep without him. It’s something at least.

Anyway, check out my reading list and see what I’ve got on my to-read list.

Weekly Reading List #79

By Cynthia Ayala

Hey there avid readers! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Not much time for reading lately. Or writing. It’s so hard to find time. I’ve set aside time in my calendar for writing and editing and all my files FINALLY seemed to have synced up so I can FINALLY continue editing my book and preview the first five chapters up for readers to read. So much to do before my August 30th pub date. Here’s hoping I won’t have to move it back. Wish me luck!

Anyway, all work and no play is never fun so check out these titles and hand me some reprieve from my workaholic schedule.

Weekly Reading List #27

By Cynthia Ayala

Hey there readers! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Mine wasn’t that bad, I worked a 9+ hr shift at the theater and it wasn’t as busy as it was last year and no one gave me an attitude for once! Everyone was in the Christmas spirit which made me very happy. And it’s nice to be around my coworkers who are all amazing. I love my bosses and my coworkers and they really are appreciative of all the hard work. The theater may not pay me enough but at least I have a job and great bosses for which I am grateful.

But anyway, I hope that everyone spread the cheer and had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. Here’s what’s coming up on my reading list soonish followed by a short piece of what I’m reading now. I thought I should include that since it’s been a while since I last posted one of these updates.

The Force is Strong with This One | Review of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awaken’

By Cynthia Ayala

Star Wars: The Force Awakens starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega & Adam Driver Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

It’s been thirty years since the fall of the Empire. Now the Galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren and the First Order. But Skywalker is missing and the allies of the Resistance, led by General Leia Organa, are beginning to flounder. And when a defector Stormtrooper named Finn crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey and her droid that contains a map to find Skywalker. A new hope lies with them, their ability to survive and fight against all the odds and the location of Luke Skywalker, the last of the Jedi Knights.

Probably not a very clever title but one that suits this review, this is, after all, the first Star Wars film since Episode III: Revenge of the Sith that came out way back in 2005. Wow, I suddenly feel old.

Weekly Reading List #26

By Cynthia Ayala

Hey there avid readers! So I am almost done with this semester. Woohoo! I’m so excited to go back home, hug my mom and kitties and kiss my fiancé. Also, I’m looking forward to actually having some me to write and read. I don’t get a lot of time to do that unfortunately but I will be doing that for three weeks….when I’m not working at the movie theater dealing with a bunch of customers who are unhappy with their seating arrangements with Star Wars. Yeah, that’s gonna be fun, I know it. Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend and such. I will be spending this weekend working on papers! Woo! (not really) but so far this semester is going good, now I just need to finish it with a bang and pass my classes.

Anyway, here’s what’s on my reading schedule for the next week. As always synopsis courtesy of Goodreads.com. Continue reading “Weekly Reading List #26”
