Weekly Reading List #116

By Cynthia Ayala

Hey there avid readers. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Just about done with final edits to my novel New Girl. Going to be setting up a giveaway for that soon in the new year so stay tuned for that. But anyway, it’s been a slow weekend at work (no new movies) so I’ve had some time to catch up on some reading. Not a lot of reading, just enough to keep this blog running for the next two weeks. So with that, check out this latest roundup, and don’t forget to let me know what you think about my book selection. If there’s a book you would like to recommend to me, recommend away. And if you’ve read any of these titles, let me know what you think about them. If you want to have a discussion about a certain book, just stay tuned for the review and we can discuss away.

Happy reading!

1. Thirteen Rising (Zodiac #4)

by Romina Russell

Romina Russell’s epic sci-fi fantasy series reaches its breathtaking conclusion with this fourth and final novel.

The master has been unmasked. Rho’s world has been turned upside down. With her loved ones in peril and all the stars set against her, can the young Guardian from House Cancer muster the strength to keep fighting? Or has she finally found her match in a master whose ambition to rule knows no limits?

2. War of the Cards (Queen of Hearts Saga #3)

by Colleen Oakes

The final book in the twisted YA trilogy re-imagining of the origin story of the Queen of Hearts.

Dinah has lost everyone she ever loved. Her brother was brutally murdered. The wicked man she believed was her father betrayed her. Her loyal subjects have been devastated by war. And the boy she gave her heart to broke it completely.

Now a dark queen has risen out of the ashes of her former life. Fury is blooming inside Dinah, poisoning her soul and twisting her mind. All she has left is Wonderland and her crown, and her obsession to fight for both. But the war rages on, and Dinah could inherit a bloodstained throne. Can a leader filled with love and rage ever be the ruler her kingdom needs? Or will her all-consuming wrath bring Wonderland to its knees?

This is not a story of happily ever after.

This is the story of the Queen of Hearts.

3. The Traitor’s Crux (The Dark Powers #1)

by Jessica Prather

In a country ravaged by years of war, plague, and death, witches and wizards are blamed for the state of the world and hunted by the U.S. government. Kenadee Coria was only a young girl when her brother was taken prisoner for having magical powers.

Now sixteen years old, Kenadee discovers she too has magical powers and must face the facts: the government is watching, and they have plans for her. She’s given a deadly mission and an impossible ultimatum: the lives of a hidden group of magic refugees, or the safe return of her long-lost brother.
