The Good News : We Survived.
The Bad News : So Did They
This book was so captivating. I love Mira Grant and her style of writing. I love how she took another take on freedom and what it truly costs. This is not your everyday Zombie book, I mean it has Zombies in it, yeah, that’s the society in which they live, but this book follows Georgia Mason, a blogger, who has been selected to follow the presidential campaign. What she didn’t know what that she would be turning into a hero, discovering a conspiracy that cost people their lives. Something is rotten in the Government, (other than the Zombies) someone is actually administering the “Virus” to make a point. A radical point.
This book shows just what the truth mean, what good it can go, and how people so lost in their cause, forget what is truly right. I loved this book. Mira Grant you are ingenious. No people, this is not just about Zombies, it’s about the search for truth, the Zombies are simply what the government are playing with. This book shows and reevaluates just what the truth means. We all know what it’s worth, many of us though, myself included, simply aren’t willing to risk it. Fear people, fear keeps us from fulfilling that action and Georgia Mason, well she fights her fear until the very end.
I cried, I jumped for joy, I could not put this book down. And when the ending came, it hit me with a “bang!” and left me speechless. I should have seen it coming, but sadly I did not. I can’t wait to read book 2 Deadline to find out what happens next and to see how far up this Conspiracy goes.
