Sony has revealed the ten games which have been platinum trophied the most, since trophies launched during system update 2.40 in the middle of 2008.
Despite there being plenty of games which offer easy platinum trophies, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed II is the game which has seen gamers achieve the maximum the most times. Second on the list was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The list also contained quite a few PlayStation 3 exclusives, with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves appeared 3rd, God of War 3 appearing in 5th, then inFamous, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, the God of War HD Collection and the Sly Cooper Collection also appearing.
The only other games that weren’t PS3 exclusives on the list were Resident Evil 5 and Borderlands. Sony’s social media manager Jeff Rubenstein noted the mixture between sales, but also a focus on predominantly single-player trophies as a result of the list’s ordering.
“I think this is why you see Assassin’s Creed II on this list, and not AC: Brotherhood, which introduced Multiplayer to the series (and associates 10 Trophies with this mode, many of which are tough to get). Take note, developers!” said Rubenstein on the PlayStation Blog.
