Since production began on the Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman directed Linda Lovelace biobic, we’ve gotten a few glimpses at the film, including a look at James Franco as Hugh Hefner, an official still of stars Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard as Linda Boreman (a.k.a. Linda Lovelace) and Chuck Traynor respectively, and even a vintage poster of Seyfried as Deep Throat‘s Linda Lovelace.
The latest poster for the film, once again, makes good use of Amanda Seyfried’s beauty, and also the fantastic cast of the film. Via Latino Review, the poster below keeps it fairly simple, with a shot of Seyfried partially dressed and posed…
Between the shirt and the bra, there’s certainly plenty of lace to go around there. Beyond the sexy look of Seyfried’s pose, we could read further into it and suggest that she doesn’t look entirely happy there. Years after the 1972 adult film Deep Throat put Lovelace on the map, the actress revealed that she was forced into the career by her husband Chuck Traynor. From what Rob Epstein told the NY Times back in February, it sounds like that’ll be part of the story told in the film:
“You’re along with her psychology at the different stages of her life,” Mr. Epstein said, “and when she’s ready to look at her life differently, we’re ready to tell the story differently.”
As previously mentioned, the poster manages to work the names of the many notable actors in the film, including Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, James Franco, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Sharon Stone. The cast alone is reason enough to anticipate the film, but it’s fitting that Seyfried is featured so prominently, not only because she’s playing the title character, but also because this could be a truly memorable role for her.
